I have been working in the world of art long enough to see great sign painters in the trade. But the internet changed everything including signs! Now with digital and highly produced everything, the world has stopped seeing a sign as the work of a craftsman or artist. I am happy to see that our world holds a place for the Sign Painter again.
My love for historic type has led me full circle from working as a Graphic Designer back to signpainter.
Covid times affected everyone in one way or another. Fortunately for me, it came right on the cusp of early retirement and passion projects. As a result, I keep my eye on the horizon for the right mural and sign projects meanwhile, much of my energies are going to family forestland in the Pacific Northwest. I'm telling you though, the lifestyle certainly keeps my creative mind healthy.
